On September 25,  our partners from R2M will hold a collective webinar on Renewable Energy on Islands.  The webinar will start at 10 a.m. and end around 12 a.m. CET. 

The webinar, chaired by our partner Makis Kartalidis from CERTH, discusses the implementation of renewable energies on the European islands thanks to the support of the NESOI Facility. Specifically, several are the topics covered by our speakers, such as RE-generation systems of interest for the islands, the integration of renewables in the islands' electricity grids, and the main barriers encountered during their installation. Moreover, during the webinar, three very interesting projects in Greece, Italy, and Croatia will be presented. Through the projects, DGReS-Aegean - Decarbonised Power Supply in an autonomous North-Aegean Archipelago, HPS-Hydroelectric Pumping Storage, and Solar Islands - Community Energy: Astep to Community SOLAR Islands, our experts aim to share with the attendees best practices, useful insights, and the lessons learnt.
