<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB">From the 30<sup>th</sup> to the 31<sup>st</sup> of May, <a href="https://www.sinloc.com/en/">SINLOC - Sistema Iniziative</a></span><a href="https://www.sinloc.com/en/"></a><span lang="EN-GB"><a href="https://www.sinloc.com/en/"> Locali</a><a href="https://www.sinloc.com/en/"></a>, project coordinator of</span><span lang="EN-GB"> <strong>NESOI – The European Islands Facility</strong>, with our Beneficiaries from Sicily, is attending </span><span lang="EN-GB">the sixth edition of the <strong>Green Salina Energy Days event</strong>,</span><span lang="EN-GB"> presenting the latest updates on our incredible initiatives. The event</span><span lang="EN-GB"> is taking place on the island of <strong>Salina</strong> (Aeolian Archipelago - Sicily), one of the islands at the heart of our project.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB">The <strong>Green Salina Energy Days</strong> event is a two-day event, organized by the <strong>Sustainable Islands Association</strong> and promoted by </span><a href="https://www.enea.it/en/enea/about-us"><span lang="EN-GB">ENEA</span></a><span lang="EN-GB">, the </span><a href="https://www.regione.sicilia.it/"><span lang="EN-GB">Sicilian Region</span></a><span lang="EN-GB">, and </span><a href="https://www.enel.com/"><span lang="EN-GB">ENEL</span></a><span lang="EN-GB">, with the support of the municipalities of </span><a href="http://www.comune.leni.me.it/"><span lang="EN-GB">Leni</span></a><span lang="EN-GB">, </span><a href="https://www.comune.malfa.me.it/"><span lang="EN-GB">Malfa</span></a><span class="MsoHyperlink"><span lang="EN-GB">,</span></span><span lang="EN-GB"> and </span><a href="http://www.comune.santa-marina-salina.me.it/"><span lang="EN-GB">Santa Marina Salina</span></a><span lang="EN-GB">, </span><a href="https://marevivo.it/"><span lang="EN-GB">Marevivo Onlus</span></a><span lang="EN-GB">, the </span><a href="https://fdcmessina.org/about-us/"><span lang="EN-GB">Messina Foundation</span></a><span lang="EN-GB">, the <strong>Territorial Assembly of Messina</strong>, the </span><a href="https://carontetourist.it/en/siremar/about-us"><span lang="EN-GB">Caronte/Siremar</span></a><span lang="EN-GB"> and </span><a href="https://eu-mayors.ec.europa.eu/en/home"><span lang="EN-GB">Covenant of Mayors</span></a><span lang="EN-GB">, and <strong>NESOI – The European Islands Facility</strong>. This year’s edition presents an interesting novelty: the first edition of Blue Island Day, in collaboration with the </span><a href="https://commission.europa.eu/index_en"><span lang="EN-GB">European Commission</span></a><span lang="EN-GB">. </span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB">The event will start on Tuesday, 30 May with the conference <strong><em>Supporting the energy transition of Small Islands</em></strong> and will continue on Wednesday 31 May with the meeting <strong><em>Energy Transition: renewable sources and Innovation, </em></strong>with afocus on geothermal energy, and case studies relating to the decarbonisation of the EU islands. On Thursday, June 1<sup>st</sup>, Blue Island Day will be promoted in collaboration with the <strong>European Commission</strong> and will focus on restoration projects of the marine ecosystem of the island and the actions of the Energy Transition of Salina.</span></p>
