NESOI participates at BRIDGE General Assembly 2021

BRIDGE is a cooperation group of Smart Grid, Energy Storage, Islands and Digitalisation H2020 projects. The annual BRIDGE General Assembly will be held online the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of March 2021. It will be the occasion to present the latest activities by the BRIDGE Working Groups and Task Forces during the last period, as well as discover the new BRIDGE projects and hear about the results and lessons learned from ended projects. Several parallel session will be organized to strengthen the collaboration between projects and discuss about future BRIDGE topics in 2021. One of the parallel sessions will focus on European islands and their potential to become front-runners in energy transition.

Agenda

  1. Day: A plenary session including presentations summarising the work done by the BRIDGE Working Groups and Task Forces and presentations of the NEW BRIDGE projects between others.
  2. Day: A Focus Topic session + 6 Dedicated parallel sessions (3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon) which will be focused on different relevant topics, including discussions moderated by EC.
  3. Day: A final plenary session in the morning, with the presentations of the ended BRIDGE projects and the conclusions of the General Assembly including discussions on possible new topics and impact on BRIDGE Working Groups and Task Forces.

NESOI's participation

The European Islands Facility – NESOI will present the topic: Unlock financing for EU islands energy transition: Needs and Challenges. The presentation will introduce the main objectives an target audience of the project, the key challenges EU islands are facing as well as the support they need. Presentation will be a part of the parallel session 4. By bringing together different actors with their different experiences, the final scope of the parallel sessions is to identify concrete actions to be implemented by strengthening the collaboration between projects
